Tile & Flooring Selections

We selected our flooring and tiles from T.A.C. Tile in Elkridge on Saturday. It was so great to choose the finishes that will be in our new home. Although it will take a long time before we will actually see them installed it was awesome to start visualizing our new home.

Angel, the interior design sales rep at T.A.C was awesome! She's been helpful from the start of this process. We reached out to her prior to the appointment and she provided us with the listing of all the options available for the Ryan Home Picasso model. She provided us with the model numbers for everything so we were able to research everything online prior to the appointment and get preliminary pricing on our selections.

We looked through the Armstrong website for the flooring options and Daltile for the tile options. What was great about Angel was that she worked with us when we didn't really like any of the standard options for hardwood and tiles. Our preference is more modern, light and clean i.e. white wash or gray, versus Ryan's more dark and traditional as seen in most of the model homes. We provided Angel with the flooring and tiles we liked which were NSO (non standard option) and she gave us pricing. My recommendation for anyone who wants something different from the standard options is to reach out to your design rep and start a discussion on what you do like as they will work with you. It may be more expensive but you at least have the option to figure out if you do want to proceed with something that you really love versus settling for something just because.

Our appointment took approximately 1.5 hour but since we researched the finishes online, it didn't really take us that long to make the selections. It was more of reconfirming aside from the masters bathroom where we picked a different scheme because it looked completely different from the computer screen vs. real life. Below are the finishes we selected.
